‘Woody’s at Wildwood’ Opens as Cripple Creek’s First Retail Sportsbook

Wildwood Casino in Cripple Creek has opened a brand new retail sportsbook, dubbed Woody’s at Wildwood, making the fourth in-person sportsbook to officially launch in Colorado and the first in Cripple Creek.

The sportsbook is located inside its namesake pub, Woody’s Sports Bar and Grill, where patrons are greeted with a full bar, a wall of TVs, two manned betting windows, and a handful of self-serve kiosks. The live betting windows are open daily from 10 a.m.-10 p.m., the same hours the restaurant are open.

Wildwood Casino is the largest in Cripple Creek. Its sports betting services are powered by ISI Race & Sports, including their self-branded BetWildwood online sports betting app. The casino was closed for three months in the spring due to the pandemic and reopened June 15.

“We’re excited to welcome sports bettors to the premier of our sportsbook. It’s been a long wait getting to this day with the pandemic cancelling sporting events, but we’ve made it,” said Wildwood Casino General Manager Matt Andrighetti.

ISI President Bill Sterns expressed enthusiasm about the company’s entry into the budding Colorado sports betting market, which first kicked off May 1.

“We are very excited about the opportunity to help bring sports betting to Colorado. We’ve been doing this for more than 20 years and have developed best practices that help our partners get out of the gate early and maintain their lead in sports betting.”
