The London-headquartered sports betting platform is one of the largest and most widely available in the U.S., and its arrival represents a major player jumping into Colorado’s nascent sports betting market, which kicked off May 1.
William Hill is locally partnered with Eldorado Resorts (now Caesars Entertainment), owner of two Black Hawk casinos, the Isle of Capri and the Lady Luck. Both casinos have had sports betting kiosks operational since July, but this week’s launch means sports bettors can now utilize the full range of William Hill’s sports betting offerings anywhere in Colorado.
Colorado joins Iowa, Nevada, New Jersey and West Virginia as states where sports bettors can currently use William Hill’s mobile sports betting app. The newest kid on the block in Colorado will face some stiff competition, including the likes of FanDuel Sportsbook, DraftKings Sportsbook, BetMGM, and many other big names.
New sign-ups are eligible for up to a $500 free bet upon deposit using promo code GO500, terms and conditions apply.
William Hill, CBS Join Forces In Time For NFL Season
William Hill announced this week a wide-ranging digital content and product integration partnership with CBS Sports, timed to ramp up as the fantasy football season begins.
The partnership will give sports bettors access to brand new content and offerings, including a free-to-play parlay game, and odds and data across CBS Sports Digital’s portfolio of platforms. The company says the new experiences are designed to teach new sports bettors about the markets and how to place bets before shepherding them seamlessly to the William Hill app to put down their wagers.
“These enhanced sports betting experiences are the result of a true partnership between CBS Sports Digital and William Hill as we write a new playbook for our companies as well as the broader sports media and sports book industries,” said Jeffrey Gerttula, EVP & General Manager, CBS Sports Digital. “Together, we will continue to create maximum value for sports bettors and fans by offering completely new and exciting ways to engage with upcoming sports events.”
William Hill’s History-Making D.C. Launch
The CBS Sports partnership underscores the bookmaker’s understanding of the importance of forging diverse relationships within the sporting world. Last month, William Hill made history launching the first-ever sportsbook within a U.S. sports arena, at Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C., home of the NHL‘s Washington Capitals and NBA‘s Washington Wizards.
“Washington, D.C. is known for its dedicated sports fans, and we’re excited to finally bring them a new way to engage with their favorite teams. Being the first to open a retail location in a professional sports venue wouldn’t be possible without our relationship with Ted Leonsis and his team at Monumental,” Joe Asher, CEO of William Hill US said at the time of the announcement.
