PlayUp Enters Colorado Sports Betting Market, Partners With Bull Durham Casino

PlayUp has announced it will launch an online sportsbook in Colorado. It will be the first U.S. entry for the Australian online betting company, which currently has active operations in Australia, New Zealand, and India.

The company has secured access to the CO sports betting market through a partnership with Bull Durham Casino in Black Hawk. In a news release, PlayUp said it plans to officially launch in the state later this year.

Doug James, General Manager at Bull Durham Casino said: “We are eager to partner with PlayUp to offer online sports betting as well as other innovative online products, to our players at Bull Durham Casino and all Coloradans interested in using the newest technology available in sports betting.

Dr. Laila Mintas, PlayUp CEO, said the decision to launch the company’s first U.S. sports betting offering in Colorado was no accident.

“We selected Colorado as the first US state to enter as we believe it has great potential, with a population of almost 6 million people that traditionally love sports. The Sports Betting market in Colorado has a potential market size of $300 million USD. As we are an onlineonly brand, our products are very scalable, also in times of social distancing.”

PlayUp has over 300,000 users outside the U.S., with offerings that include fantasy sports, esports betting, horse racing products, and more. It opened its U.S. headquarters in Las Vegas earlier this year.
