Nuggets vs. Warriors Recap
Golden State (53-29) had the better regular-season record between the two, but the Nuggets (48-34) won the season series by taking three out of four games. However, Denver’s wins were relatively close games. Two were one-possession games, including one that Denver won with a Monte Morris buzzer-beater.
Those wins did not carry over to the playoffs. Golden State established a 2-0 series lead with two big home wins. Then the Warriors got the best of a close Game 3 in Denver to take a commanding 3-0 series lead.
The Nuggets fought back with a win in Game 4, but all that did was delay the inevitable. Golden State won a tight Game 5 on Wednesday to move on to the Western Conference semifinals.
