IGT Bringing its Sports Betting Platform to Colorado Through Local Partnerships

International Game Technology (IGT) has announced a partnership with two Colorado casinos to launch its sports betting platform, PlaySports, to power retail and mobile sports betting in the state.

“Colorado is shaping up to be one of the most compelling sports betting markets in the U.S., and a region where IGT is clearly demonstrating the power, versatility and scalability of our PlaySports solution,” said Enrico Drago, IGT PlayDigital Senior Vice President.

The Wild Card Saloon and Sasquatch Casino will be using IGT PlaySports’ platform to power its mobile sports betting apps, as well as its retail sportsbook. Casinos remain closed due to state government mandate, but IGT sportsbooks will be operational at both locations once casinos reopen.

“We’ve leveraged IGT’s expertise and trusted technology to create a sports betting program that gives players choice and convenience for wagering on their favorite teams,” said Ed Smith, President of Ed & Shirley’s Inc.

Wild Card Saloon and Sasquatch Casino in Black Hawk are both owned and operated by Ed Ed and Shirley Smith, who founded Wild Card Saloon in 1991 as the first legal casino open for business in Black Hawk.

IGT’s news makes the latest of three major developments today in Colorado sports betting news. Earlier today, Century Casinos finalized an agreement with bet365 that will see it launch in Colorado. FoxBet also officially launched in Colorado today through a partnership with Eldorado Resorts, owners of Lady Luck Casino in Black Hawk.
