Note: It was announced on the Full House Q4 earnings call that Full House Resorts will be closing the Christmas Casino and consolidating their gaming operations to Bronco Billy’s Casino.
If you love the holidays, you have to visit the Christmas Casino and Inn at Bronco Billy’s. This wintery themed casino is one of three inside Bronco Billy’s Casino and Hotel in Cripple Creek, Colorado. It’s a big draw for owners Full House Resorts thanks to a wondrous display of Christmas decor with themed rooms and a spot for burgers and hot dogs called Rudy’s Diner.
This casino and inn offers free breakfast, and boasts 150 slots and 12 Christmas themed rooms. Each room is modeled after a different notable holiday figure, including Mr. Claus, Mrs. Claus, and of course all of Santa’s reindeer.

Christmas Casino And Inn Sports Betting
Bronco Billy’s, where the Christmas Casino is located, may soon offer online sports betting. Their parent company, Full House Resorts, signed an agreement with BetAmerica and UK-based sports betting company, Smarkets, to offer online and retail sports betting through their casinos in Colorado. They are awaiting regulatory approvals before moving forward.
In 2019, Colorado voters approved Proposition DD to allow online and retail sports betting in the state. Starting May 1, anyone 21 years of age or older within Colorado will be able to place bets on their favorite collegiate, professional, and Olympic sports. Betting will be allowed in retail sportsbook locations, online apps, and on sportsbook websites.
Christmas Casino and Inn History
The Christmas Casino and Inn opened in 2018 as part of an expansion project by Bronco Billy’s Casino and Hotel. The casino resides in the old Imperial Casino building, which was purchased along with the previous owner’s nearby empty lots. The casino’s holding company, Full House Resorts, is building a parking garage on the empty lots and plans to use the additional space for a planned $70 million expansion of Bronco Billy’s Casino and Hotel.
To help raise interest in the upcoming renovations and make use of the Imperial building, Full House Resorts installed the Christmas Casino and Inn. It was the first new casino to open in Cripple Creek in a decade. Full House Resorts has fully decked the halls with a Christmas theme, including a 15-foot rotating Christmas tree and a mechanical German Christmas pyramid (one of only two in the U.S.). The casino also brings in a small herd of reindeer for two months every year. These domesticated reindeer are a star attraction around the holidays.
Full House Resorts CEO, Dan Lee did a lot of research for this theme. In 2017, he and two other employees went to the biggest Christmas market in the world for inspiration, Chriskindlesmarkt in Nuremberg, Germany. After coming back, they spent $1 million and about six months renovating the casino. Mechanical display artist Lou Nasti, was brought in to give the entire casino a unified appearance that entertains players year-round.
Bronco Billy’s next planned project is construction of an expanded hotel, projected to open in late 2020. The hotel will include 150 rooms, a spa, entertainment and convention spaces, and an upscale restaurant.
Players Club Loyalty Program
The Players Club is a loyalty program that allows players to earn points when playing slots and table games at the Christmas Casino, Bronco Billy’s, and Billy’s Casino. Called Mile High Rewards, the plan has five tiers players can reach as they earn points. When you achieve a new tier, you can enjoy rewards and perks that come with being part of the Players Club. This can include features like:
- Free Plays
- Exclusive Drawings
- Exclusive Events
- Hotel Discounts
- VIP Check-In
- VIP Parking
- Free Meals
- Free Hotel Stays
In addition, each tier offers points multipliers that increase potential points earned for players. For example, the Pinnacle tier offers three times the points for every $1 spent, while the E.I.P. tier offers seven times the points for every $1 spent. Players can typically earn 1 point per $1 bet for slots games and 1 point per $5 bet for table games and video poker.
The points only accrue when players swipe their rewards cards when gambling. So, you’ll need to remember to keep your card with you when on the casino floor and make active use of it.
