It has officially been a week since Colorado casinos reopened after being closed for three months. Gamblers in Cripple Creek, Black Hawk, and Central City made their enthusiastic return, even though things looked very different. Colorado even made history by accepting the state’s first-ever legal sports bet at the Betfred sportsbook window at the Saratoga Casino.
In order to keep compliant with the variances that granted them permission to open for business, CO casinos have instituted a number of new safety measures including:
- Mandatory temperature screenings upon entry
- All employees and guests must wear masks at all times
- Table games are closed, only slots are available
- Reduced maximum capacity
- Some slots turned off to ensure socially distant players
