Bronco Billy’s Opening Retail Sportsbook, Launching App ‘Soon’

Bronco Billy’s casino in Cripple Creek is training its employees in preparation to open retail sports betting kiosks, which are set to open as soon as Sept. 1.

It would become just the second retail sportsbook in Cripple Creek, the first being Woody’s at Wildwood, self-launched by the Wildwood Casino in July.

Bronco Billy’s website now links to a page about sports betting, giving details about its sportsbook apparently dubbed “Bronco Sportsbook.” According to the website, bettors will be able to wager on “football, baseball, soccer, auto racing and more” at casino kiosks. It also alludes to an app “coming soon.”

A Bronco Billy’s representative reached by phone said the kiosks will be opening “soon,” as early as Sept. 1.

It’s the second major hint today of big changes coming to Bronco Billy’s. As we reported just this morning, the Colorado Limited Gaming Commission is set to discuss transferring the license of the soon-to-be former Christmas Casino & Inn at Bronco Billy’s to a brand new casino, called Sir William’s. Discussion of a master sports betting license for the location is also up for discussion at the Aug. 27 meeting.
