Wild Card Saloon at Black Hawk & Online Sportsbook

The Wild Card Saloon sits in a three-story historic building in the middle of Black Hawk, Colorado. It’s family-owned by Ed and Shirley Smith, who also are part owners of the nearby Sasquatch Casino.

The saloon, which, opened in 1991, is touted as the first casino in Black Hawk, and one of the last to still allow smoking inside. Their frontier attitude is evident before you step inside. Outside on the weekends and holidays the Wild Card Saloon holds a “free spin” promotion where you can win free food, drinks, or money to play one of the 223 gaming machines inside.

Of the building’s three floors, only the first two are for gambling. The third floor is for taking a break from the din of the gaming floor. Relax and enjoy the sights from the recently opened balcony or order home-cooked food or drinks.

Once your appetite is satiated, it’s back to gambling, where slot machines at every turn are ready for action, including video poker bars on the second and main floors. What really sets the Wild Card Saloon and Casino apart is the convenience store located in the back, selling milk, energy drinks and cigarettes among other items.
